Sewer Pipeline Rehabilitation Initiatives

Clark County Water Reclamation District employees inspect and maintain over 2,000 miles of pipelines in our collection system.  The District proactively locations and rehabilitates pipes that are in need of replacement or repair.  Recently, over thirty two miles of sewer pipes have been rehabilitated.  These pipes were located under the following Las Vegas roadways:  Spring Mountain, Paradise, Las Vegas Blvd., East Sahara, Karen, Twain, East Desert Inn, West Flamingo, and West Tropicana.

The District is currently performing sewer pipe rehabilitation work on Nellis Boulevard from Bonanza Road to Owens Avenue.  This project is part of a five year, $50 million overall rehabilitation project.  All rehabilitation on Nellis is scheduled to be completed in March of 2006.
