What's New :: Community Projects

The Water Reclamation District is responsible for wastewater treatment and reclamation in all of the unincorporated areas of Clark County.  Service is currently provided to the outlying communities of Laughlin, Searchlight, Overton, Indian Springs, and Blue Diamond. When there is something of interest happening in these communities, we'll keep you updated right here!

Developments in Overton and Moapa Valley

Wastewater treatment in Moapa Valley has not historically been a concern. For many years, the communities of Logandale and Overton have relied upon septic tanks and a small collection and evaporation system to meet their needs. Recently, however, there has been a need to look at the long-term direction that wastewater collection and treatment should take as the communities continue to develop. In 2004, the Town Advisory Board directed the Water Reclamation District to move forward with design and construction of a collection system for Logandale and to upgrade the wastewater treatment facilities. A Citizen’s Advisory Council meets frequently with the Water Reclamation District as the design and engineering plans for the collection system and plant move forward.

Developments in Indian Springs

The Clark County Water Reclamation District is in the planning process to upgrade the collection system and wastewater treatment facilities. By upgrading the collection system, the Water Reclamation District will improve the integrity of the lines, and can allow for additional connection for increased growth. Upgrades are needed to the treatment facilities to accommodate the planned developments, additional services at Creech Air Force Base and to improve the overall environmental quality of the area.
