What's New :: Community Projects

The Water Reclamation District is responsible for wastewater treatment and reclamation in all of the unincorporated areas of Clark County.  Service is currently provided to the outlying communities of Laughlin, Searchlight, Moapa Valley, Indian Springs, and Blue Diamond. When there is something of interest happening in these communities, we'll keep you updated right here!

Developments in Moapa Valley

Wastewater treatment in Moapa Valley has not historically been a concern. For many years, the communities of Logandale and Overton have relied upon septic tanks and a small collection and evaporation system to meet their needs. Recently, however, there has been a need to look at the long-term direction that wastewater collection and treatment should take as the communities continue to develop. In 2008, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to begin the upgrades to the wastewater treatment facilities. As of early 2009, construction of the treatment facility is well underway, and the construction bidding process for extending the collection system into Logandale is nearing completion.

Developments in Indian Springs

The Clark County Water Reclamation District is in the planning process to upgrade the collection system and wastewater treatment facilities. By upgrading the collection system, the Water Reclamation District will improve the integrity of the lines, and can allow for additional connection for increased growth. Upgrades are needed to the treatment facilities to accommodate the planned developments, additional services at Creech Air Force Base and to improve the overall environmental quality of the area.
