District Facilities :: Indian Springs Wastewater Treatment Facility

Indian Springs Community Facts . . .
. . . from the Clark County Water Reclamation District

History

For many years, the wastewater facilities in Indian Springs were owned, maintained, and operated by a local, private owner.  The increasing regulatory compliance issues, need for capital investments to maintain the system in a reliable, working order, changes in treatment requirements and aging facilities and infrastructure have made it nearly impossible for treatment to be adequately provided by a private owner.

The Clark County Water Reclamation District has completed repairs and expansion of the collection system. Construction on the new wastewater treatment facilities began in 2010. Stimulus funds were obtained to assist with the funding of this project, allowing to service to be extended to Creech Air Force Base. The new treatment facilities will provide a higher level of treatment, therefore improving the environmental quality of the community.
