What is Reclaimed Water?
Reclaimed water, quite simply, is wastewater that has been
treated well enough to be put to use for either irrigation,
industrial coolant or in water features. While not clean enough
to meet drinking water standards, the water is proven safe
for plants, and even human contact with irrigated areas, such
as parks, playing fields and golf courses. For almost 40 years,
we have been able to reuse a portion of our valley's wastewater
for coolant at two electrical power generating facilities
and two golf courses located in the southeast part of the
valley.
