We are currently constructing the largest pipeline expansion project in our history, the Paradise Whitney Interceptor (PWI).
PWI is a multi-year project to ensure our community maintains a safe and reliable system for delivering wastewater from our homes and businesses to the treatment facilities. The PWI project consists of 13 miles of large diameter sewer pipeline (48” to 84” diameter) constructed from Valley View Boulevard and Serene Avenue in the southwest valley to Nellis Boulevard and Flamingo Road in the southeast valley. This $160 million investment will ensure necessary capacity and a more reliable system into the future to maintain our vital role in the water care cycle.
The project is under construction in three segments; east, central and west. All three phases are currently underway, with a final completion projected in the first quarter of 2017.
