Doing Your Part
is committed in doing our part in safeguarding the water care cycle. Keeping
harmful pollutants out of the sewer system such as Fats Oils, Grease and Grit
(FOGG), pharmaceuticals and non-flushable items saves time and money in the
wastewater treatment process. FOGG are
harmful to your household pipes, sewer system and the environment. You can do
your part by making sure that FOGG and other harmful items stay out of
wastewater. For more information please visit Paininthedrain.com.
The District is responsible for wastewater collection, treatment and reclamation in all of the unincorporated areas of Clark County. Service is currently provided to the outlying communities of Laughlin, Searchlight, Moapa Valley, Indian Springs, and Blue Diamond, as well as portions of the Las Vegas Valley. When sewer construction work is taking place, we'll keep you updated right here!
Currently, the District is in the process of constructing its Paradise Whitney Interceptor (PWI) capacity expansion project. Extending from Flamingo Road and Nellis Boulevard to Serene Avenue and Valley View Boulevard, PWI is a 13 mile pipeline project designed to ensure adequate capacity and a more reliable wastewater infrastructure into the future. Construction of PWI is taking place in various locations throughout the valley as crews are installing large diameter pipe into the ground.
The District provides speakers, at no cost, to come to your organization, business, or school and give presentations on our agency, industry and the water quality issues we face. To schedule a presentation, please call us at 702-668-8065 or email us.
